How to See the Most Sites in London For Less $

A Blizzard of Activities in London

I set aside two days for sightseeing in London for this trip. Before leaving, I purchased a London 2 Day City Pass. We saved over $200 each over the days we used them! It was akin to a whirlwind of activity, seeing as much as we could. But, honestly, we never felt rushed or pressured to get to the next place just to see more or save more.

221b Baker Street, Shakespeare's home, is a museum as well as a self-guided tour. We dressed up as Sherlock and Holmes, complete with pipes and tams!

We visited:

Those double-decker buses you see in the movies, well we finally rode around on them! It may sound silly but it was such a fun experience. And we walked, a lot, and enjoyed perfectly sunny mild days. We got to see more than we imagined we could. And, we had the best time doing it!

Vinopolis was so cool! A interactive museum and wine tasting tour kept us mesmerized. Bombay Gin had an exhibit there that left us just a little tipsy! 🙂

The London Dungeon is a wealth of historic information. It's tour is also interactive which humorously led me to be locked head in hands in a form of torture no longer used, thankfully!

Inside The Globe Theater the history literally seeps into you and the past comes to life before your eyes.

London is a beautiful city. I'm really looking forward to my next trip!

Houseboats Along London's Canal. We needed a calming walk after the Vinopolis visit!

Most cities across the world have a City Pass program and I have used them before - always saving with it. Costing almost $90, it may sound expensive. It was worth every penny!

I've heard wonderful things about Moscow. Consequently it may be the next overseas trip. I'll have to check to see if they have a Pass. Also, I'd be curious about other people's experiences using a pass to see the sites, in any city. Let me know if this is something you've done before.
